(June 3, 2017) Delaware, ON – Canada’s Best Racing Team (CBRT) returned to action during round number two of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Saturday night at Delaware Speedway.

The team fielding two entries with Larry Jackson behind the wheel of the #25 CBRT/Piloti Ford along with former ARCA Truck Series competitor Armani Williams who made his first ever start in the series driving the #28 Race4Autism Dodge.

Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at age two Williams is seeking to educate fans about autism and raise funds for research became the first driver with autism to participate in the NASCAR event.

For Williams first foray into the series it was all about learning and he turned dozens of laps in his #28 Race4Autism Dodge during practice improving significantly as the day went on.

In the 250 lap feature event it is all out “go for it” action right from the start and driver Larry Jackson in the #25 CBRT/Piloti Ford was involved in contact with another car and rubbed out hard against the outside wall bringing his night to a premature end.

“Larry was just in the wrong place at the wrong time” said CBRT General Manager Joey McColm. “You feel bad for a guy that works so hard to have that happen”.

Meanwhile Williams continued to persevere in the #28 Race4Autism Dodge and as the race progressed his skills continued to improve. Williams posted quicker lap times throughout the race, running his best laps at the end of the race.

“You couldn’t ask for anymore from Armani” said McColm. You could see the improvements he was making and running quicker and quicker. He also got pushed around a little at times by some guys but he didn’t get rattled, he was smart and brought the car back with hardly a mark and just outside the top-ten at the finish. That’s a very successful debut and a lot we can build on,” he added.
